Job Description

The Data Analyst - Product will work on the Data Analyses & Data Science team which is part of the broader Product Team. They will collaborate with various stakeholders including Product Managers, Engineering, and others to derive actionable insights that enable decision-making and profitable growth.

This role will report to the Director of Product Operations. The candidate will play a key role in supporting and further developing the overall Data Analysis capabilities for the Product team.

They must be able to communicate effectively with team members and business partners while tailoring the message to suit the audience.

The ideal candidate is comfortable asserting their findings and being a thought leader having a get-thing-done mentality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze data from diverse sources and systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency through rigorous validation and documentation practices
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key product metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Analyze data and proactively derive actionable insights through quantitative analysis and statistical techniques
  • Proactively extract insights related to user behavior, product usage, and performance metrics, deriving actionable insights that accelerate profitable growth and product improvements across the board
  • Develop and implement new metrics for measuring business performance, recommending new reports as needed and advocating data reporting resources as needed
  • Efficiently manage projects by prioritizing thorough discovery, gathering precise requirements, and clearly defining problem spaces to ensure that solutions effectively address the identified issues in a timely manner
  • Effectively manage stakeholders by providing frequent progress updates and distilling results into concise presentations suitable for all audience levels
  • Maintain proficiency within the data analysis domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts
  • Develop and maintain a profound understanding of how Appcast’s programmatic job advertising software and industry work to be able to effectively work on all aspects of the data analysis
  • Lead and execute ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Advanced analytics skills, knowledge of statistics, SQL, Excel as well as Python skills
  • Fluency with data visualization tools (primarily Tableau)
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights that enable decision-making and profitable growth
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
  • Project management skills, ability to ramp-up on projects quickly, get-things-done mentality

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Post-Secondary Diploma in a quantitative field (computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, machine learning, statistics) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar data analysis position

Travel Requirements

Travel for this position may include 1-2 times-a-year travel to attend internal meetings, however, this may vary based on business needs and opportunities

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not supervise others

Expected Salary Range : $88,500-$148,000
