Dedicated Education Unit
Dedication Education Unit is a -bed unit focused on teaching our new graduated nurses’ foundational skills during the first stages of their orientation.
Nurses working on this unit are highly engaged preceptors who strive to leave their legacy within the next generation of nurses.
Nurses on this unit care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems. The patient population on the Dedicated Education Unit includes renal, pulmonary, infectious disease, GI issues, hospice, and more.
As a nurse on our unit, you will be a part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate direct patient care, education, and serve as the leader of the patient care team while teaching our next generation of nurses.

Requirements
- Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care setting required
- BSN or ADN currently enrolled in a BSN program preferred
- BLS certification required
- Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
