The Economic Services team reports through the MOCA Services division and is responsible for gathering and analyzing data for use in contracted research as well as distilling actionable insights for both internal and external stakeholders.
This position would directly support the Principal, Construction Economist in those responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have impeccable time-management skills, enjoy working on a small team, have exposure to the nonresidential construction industry, and be comfortable with developing visualizations from large datasets.
This position is hybrid-remote in the Pittsburgh, PA area with the expectation of one week per-quarter in an office setting with some additional travel and meetings required.
This is a full-time position that requires reliable high-speed internet and ability to travel. Essential Functions : Assemble, maintain, and expedite data retrieval from relevant databases Assemble and maintain recurring and ad-hoc data visualization tools Support economic projects (quality control, data collection) Perform first-pass data analytics and develop a familiarity with resources Support economic research and quarterly reporting Identify, plan, and execute opportunities to automate and upgrade existing processes Develop effective executive dashboards Manual data collection and entry Support growth initiatives within the Economic Services offerings Support broader MOCA Services and MSI corporate initiatives Qualifications : BS in engineering, finance, economics, data analytics and 5-years of professional experience min 2 years in analytics min 2 years relevant industry experience MS in engineering, finance, economics, data analytics and 2-years of professional experience Copilot / AI service familiarity Basic SQL or Python knowledge Intermediate proficiency with PowerBI with at least one independently developed dashboard with KPIs and customized visualizations;
mapping experience is a plus Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & other Microsoft Office Suite programs Highly qualified candidates may have some combination of this experience : Working knowledge of the US nonresidential construction industry Generating and delivering market-analysis reports Intermediate proficiency in PowerAutomate or automation capabilities.

The anticipated base gross salary range for this position in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area is $75,000 - $86,000 annually.
