Bar and Beverage Manager

A bustling gastropub in the heart of New York City is seeking a skilled and energetic Bar and Beverage Manager to lead its bar operations and elevate the guest experience.
The ideal candidate is passionate about the art of mixology, has a knack for delivering excellent customer service, and brings a strong knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails.
The Bar and Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bar, including staff management, inventory control, and drink menu development to maintain a high-energy, welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all bar operations, including inventory management, ordering, and ensuring product quality and availability.
- Lead, train, and mentor bartenders and bar staff to maintain service excellence and uphold brand standards.
- Develop and update the beverage menu regularly, creating unique and seasonal cocktails and curated drink specials that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
- Oversee daily financial activities for the bar, including cash handling, sales reporting, and cost control to ensure budget alignment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations to create a safe environment for staff and patrons.
- Engage with customers, offering personalized recommendations and addressing any concerns to enhance the overall experience.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create food and beverage pairings and specials for a seamless dining experience.
- Promote bar events and specials, partnering with the marketing team to drive foot traffic and guest engagement.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bar Manager, Beverage Manager, or similar role in a high-volume bar or gastropub.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, beer varieties, wine, and spirits, with a creative approach to beverage development.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing and training bar staff.
- Proficient in bar-related POS systems and inventory management.
- Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
