Position Overview
The Carrier Performance Manager serves as the central point of coordination between Goosehead and its carrier partners. This role is responsible for optimizing our carrier portfolio, driving profitability, ensuring an outstanding client experience, and fostering strong, mutually beneficial partnerships. The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor, operational savvy, and a client-centric mindset to deliver superior outcomes for Goosehead, our agents, and our carrier partners.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Product Portfolio Optimization : Continuously evaluate and refine Goosehead's suite of carrier offerings to ensure agents have access to a comprehensive, competitive, and high-converting set of insurance products across all key markets and client segments.
- Economics & Profitability : Negotiate favorable commission structures, profit-sharing agreements, and volume incentives to enhance agency profitability.
- Client Experience Oversight : Monitor and influence claims satisfaction and policy retention, holding carriers accountable for delivering an exceptional end-to-end client experience.
- Risk & Compliance Management : Assess carrier stability, underwriting quality, and regulatory compliance in partnership with Legal to reduce risk exposure and ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform.
- Operational Streamlining : Collaborate with carriers to eliminate service friction, integrate systems, and improve process efficiencyreducing operational complexity and cost for agents and service teams.
- Performance Intelligence : Track and report on carrier performance using a disciplined data and analytics approach, informing strategy, identifying opportunities, and ensuring transparency and accountability across the portfolio.
Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.5+ years of experience in carrier management, partnership management, or a related insurance industry role.Required Skills and Abilities
Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills.Proven ability to drive operational improvements and manage complex projects.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Experience with data analytics and performance reporting.Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.Benefits Summary
