The Opportunity
As the ideal Securities Data Management Analyst, you will be responsible for securities data flowing into the Investment Data Ecosystem.
You will understand how this data is compiled, transformed and processed, and be able to support data requests providing detailed analysis of large data sets.
You will provide subject matter expertise to enterprise wide projects and ensure standards are followed as a representative the Investment Data Integrity team.
This work includes working with vendors, asset managers and third-party administrators. The nature of the work will require perseverance, accountability, and resourcefulness.
The Team
The Securities Data Management Analyst reports to the Director of Securities Data Management, part of the MassMutual Investment Operations team within the Investment Management division.
The Securities Data Management team is agile and works independently, yet collaboratively with various teams across the enterprise.
To be successful, you must have strong attention to detail, the ability to multi task and thrive in a fast paced work environment.
The Impact :
- Understand the existing flows of data into the investment ecosystem including how data is sourced and aggregated to support the usage of investment data by all MassMutual stakeholders
- Demonstrate expertise across all fixed income and equity asset types
- Ownership of set up, configuration and sourcing of new data types, data validations or derivations within the investment data ecosystem
- Partner with Onboarding committee to implement new data feeds or processes for new investment initiatives
- Communicate and collaborate with external partners and asset managers to implement new or changing data needs
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of business investment data challenges demonstrating agility in managing multiple issues at one time
- Accountable for escalated and ongoing support for all users of data while ensuring appropriate documentation of processes is available and maintained
- Represent the Investment Data Integrity team on various regulatory projects, process improvement initiatives and complex research items.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- 7+ years of securities data experience with an understanding of securities life cycle
The Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related area
- Knowledge of Eagle PACE or like Data Management Tool
- Knowledge of Eagle STAR or like Investment Accounting platform
- Expert user of excel and proficient with SQL / Oracle query tools
- Microstrategy or other reporting tool experience a plus
- Knowledge of investment data management from ingestion of source data to end user reporting
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, comfortable interacting with vendors, business partners, external managers and internal Investment and IT
- Ability to work across multiple priorities with limited guidance
- Ability to independently explore solutions to a problem and adapt quickly to changes
- Collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team-based environment

Salary Range :
$124,800.00-$163,800.00
