Human Resource Dimensions has been retained to place a Contract Administrator / Project Manager for a growing client in the building materials industry.
The Contract Administrator is responsible for completing projects on time and within budget. Majority of this position is the coordination of projects which includes the following :
- Coordination with Sales / Estimating for new project kickoffs.
- Coordination with Engineering to ensure the design is executed accurately and on time.
- Coordination with Construction to help execute the work within the schedule.
- Coordination with the client to make sure all project requirements and needs are fulfilled.
- Coordination with Accounting on monthly billings and projections.
- Coordination with Safety resources.
Responsibilities :
- Contract review focusing on scope and schedule.
- Develop, submit, and track project submittals.
- Review of design (shop) drawings developed by Engineering.
- Purchase materials / services needed to complete the project
- Develop and manage contracts as needed for third-party installers.
- Approve of major purchases.
- Continuous follow-up to ensure materials are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Assist the construction department to help maintain the construction schedule for each project.
- Track and manage project costs.
- Manage the relationship with the client.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Maintain monthly billing for each project
- Maintain quarterly billing projections.
Requirements :
- 1-5 years of construction or building materials experience.
- Trade school or college degree preferred.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software; experience with ERP systems is desired but not necessarily required.
