Project Controller
Summary
We are looking for a project controller who can manage the financial aspects of CPFF (cost plus fixed fee) federal contracts.
You will be responsible for preparing and submitting project reports, EAC (estimate at completion) analysis, invoicing, and forecasting.
You will also work closely with multiple project stakeholders to ensure compliance with the contract terms and the federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly project reports to the customer and the management team, including cost, schedule, and performance data.
- Perform EAC analysis and update the project budget and forecast based on the actual and projected costs and revenues.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices to the customer and follow up on the payment status.
- Monitor and track the contract funding, expenditures, and obligations, and alert managers of any potential issues or risks.
- Review and reconcile the project financial data
- Support the project team in preparing and negotiating contract modifications, change orders, and claims.
- Ensure compliance with the contract terms, the federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and the company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and audit of the annual incurred cost submission.
- Provide financial guidance and support to the project team members.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project control or financial management for CPFF federal contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and familiar with accounting and project management software.
- Knowledge of the FAR, the DFARS, and the CAS, and their application to CPFF contracts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
