As a Strategic Relationship Manager (Employee Benefits) you will be responsible for the engagement, execution, and strategic planning for the growth and profitability of our key brokerage and platform partnerships.
This role is a thought leader and steward to our partnership community, providing education related to Gen’s Benefit Solutions Channel while also serving as a liaison to our sales team to optimize opportunities with the partnership.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deep understanding of how to be an ambassador to the employee benefits industry.
- The ability to identify, pursue, and qualify additional opportunities within new and existing relationships.
- Drive the development, expansion, and maintenance of strategic platform partnerships (both domestically and internationally).
- Engage with Executive Benefit Divisions to proficiently showcase the ROI and positive impact on overall organizational objectives.
- The ability to educate key stakeholders related to Norton LifeLock Benefit Solutions (a Gen Company) value propositions, services, and solutions offerings that are meaningful to their business.
- Understand efficient enrollment paths, revenue requirements, and contractual relationships.
- Take a consultative approach as it relates to RFP and RFI requests, ensuring a timely, accurate, and captivating response.
- Perform regular business reviews with strategic partners, focused on the performance of existing business while also seeking opportunities for new business.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Experience utilizing systems (such as Salesforce) and processes that support the analysis of the partner’s footprint, and success measures, and use data to identify additional opportunities.
- Interface in a reciprocal manner with Business Development Executives, Specialists, Partner Account Managers, Marketing, Legal, and Finance to improve member growth and retention.
- Deep understanding of the Account Plans and growth opportunities.
- Partner with the Employee Benefits Leadership Team to drive initiatives while also driving awareness of Partner performance and forecasting.
- Inspire and influence the employee benefits industry.
Key Qualifications :
- Well-experienced in Employee Benefits sales or service, with excellent knowledge of the Employee Benefits landscape.
- Experience prospecting and growing new Partnerships, as well as, nurturing existing Partnerships.
- Experience working with Employee Benefits brokers, consultants, platforms, and TPAs with a deep understanding of their roles and needs.
- Team player who will engage with internal resources manage activity, and pipeline, and be mindful of forecasting outcomes.
- Have a fair technical knowledge of benefit enrollment methodologies and have a working understanding of various insurance products.
- Proficient in analyzing benefit industry trends, specifically keeping a pulse on Identity Theft Protection.
- Ability to work efficiently and influence key stakeholders.
- High service acumen and a tireless approach to creative problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills with a quick ability to build a narrative to address the identity protection landscape.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills And Experience :
- At least 5 years relationship management experience working with benefit brokers, agents, and consultants.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and confidence to present to C-level executives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different internal stakeholders to deliver on client needs.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excel in dynamic presentations, including public speaking and national webinars. Command attention, distill complex concepts with clarity, and adeptly use multimedia tools for impactful communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).
- Ability to travel 40-60% of the time.
