Procurement Specialist

Key Role :

Responsible for developing tracking methods, instituting tracking processes, auditing processes, and reporting metrics representing the accuracy and overall health of the program’s procurement, logistics, and asset management.

Coordinate procurement processes to acquire assets and provide oversight of logistics, tracking assets throughout the life of the program or project.

Provide business counsel, resolve supply chain issues, and develop client relationships to drive client engagement. Collaborate with stakeholder teams and apply functional expertise to develop and execute category and sourcing strategies.

Conduct due diligence for complex procurement initiatives, including spend analysis, market research, competitive solicitations, supplier evaluations, cost analysis, and negotiation of terms and conditions, including warranty, indemnification, and liability provisions.

Perform quality checks, apply expertise to identify business process improvement opportunities, and help implement new tools and procedures.

Work in a dynamic Program Management Office as part of an operations team supporting a geographically-dispersed program and communicate and collaborate with project personnel.

Work with firm subcontracts and purchasing teams.

Basic Qualifications :

Experience with procurement and logistics tracking and supply chain management

Experience with research gathering, data entry and database maintenance, data tracking and analysis, and reporting

Knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract formation, and contract administration

Ability to leverage and evaluate technical, economic, and market research and applicable informational resources as a basis for sourcing recommendations

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications :

Experience with consulting for the federal government, the Intelligence Community (IC), the Department of Defense (DoD), or FEDSIM programs

Experience with procurement management or procuring products or services on behalf of the government

Experience using Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) for purchasing

Experience with technical applications, including Microsoft Office applications and e-Procurement systems

Experience with contracts, subcontracts, and vendor management and project or program management

Knowledge of budgeting, cost research, and financial tracking and reporting and Federal Acquisition Regulations

Ability to exhibit excellent negotiation, consultative, and people skills

Possession of strong time management and organizational skills

Possession of leadership skills to interface with internal groups and teams at multiple organizational levels

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders

Clearance :

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $105,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
