What you will do :
- Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.
- Performs airflow, sound performance, and electric heat tests based on applicable AMCA, AHRI, and ISO standards.
- Coordinates the development and maintenance of all lab testing standards.
- Coordinates shipping / receiving of all Industrial HVAC equipment to and from lab.
- Supervises installation and setup of Industrial HVAC equipment.
- Performs troubleshooting within lab facilities.
- Assists the Engineering Department in the upgrade of test facility data acquisition equipment.
- Maintains tool and supply inventory; maintains required equipment calibration.
- Directs department activities to construct and test prototype designs ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Identifies project resource requirements, reviews overall impact, and manages resources within project and fiscal limits.
- Determines training needs for lab personnel and all employees performing work in the lab.
- Confers with engineering staff to plan activities and programs, set priorities, and track progress.
- Forecasts operating costs and develops capital plan for the lab area.
- Evaluates test data for consistency and recommends appropriate actions.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
- Establishes, manages, and tracks program deliverables, costs, and schedules.
- Clearly and consistently communicates program status.
- Works with (direct report) employees to prepare annual goals and objectives.
- Performs (direct report) employee quarterly and annual evaluations.
