This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy.

UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

The primary objective of the Manager of Training and Engagement is to design and deliver comprehensive programs, both in-person and online, that enhance employee engagement and support advancement initiatives.

This role will be instrumental in the onboarding process, play a key role in the design and implementation of the Super Tuesday initiative, and lead the development of the OneCarolina Peer Program.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience The successful candidate must have experience in teaching and facilitation.

The successful candidate must be able to leverage various technologies and learning methodologies and must be able to learn new computer applications quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required. Knowledge around developing curriculum and presenting a variety of topics both in large and small settings is essential.

The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of appropriately handling sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality.

A solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Experience in developing curriculum for adult learners as well as exposure to virtual learning platforms.

Familiarity in educating personnel on applicable policies and procedures is preferred. Experience with Blackbaud CRM and Adobe products would be advantageous.
