Position Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team at Verinext. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoices, and maintaining strong client relationships.
You will collaborate with various departments to resolve billing issues and perform critical financial reporting tasks. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex billing scenarios efficiently.
Requirements
Billing Process Management :
- Process and issue sales invoices for all lines of business, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
- Review and validate billing information from different departments to ensure correct invoicing.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Account Executives to gather necessary billing details and milestones.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing.
Client Billing Relationship :
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer billing inquiries and concerns.
- Address and resolve billing questions or disputes from clients promptly and professionally.
- Support reconciliations and work with customers to resolve billing issues.
Billing System Administration :
- Utilize billing software and systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) to manage and maintain accurate billing records.
- Ensure the billing system reflects accurate project details and client information.
- Assist in implementing system improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the billing process.
Financial Reporting :
- Generate ad-hoc reports and analyze billing performance to provide insights for financial management.
- Prepare and assist in regular financial reports related to billing activities.
Compliance and Documentation :
- Ensure adherence to relevant billing regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline the billing process.
- Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing billing efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing or accounting roles, preferably within a technology or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of billing principles, accounting practices, and financial processes.
- Proficiency in billing software and financial systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines.
Work Schedule :
At Verinext, we operate on a 4-day in-office work schedule from Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays.
