Production Technician - 1st Shift

We are seeking candidates for Production Technician roles on the 1st shift. The hours for this position are 6 : 00am-2 : 00pm, Monday Friday.

Position Summary

The Production Technician is responsible for assigned aspects of the production process which may include material handling, equipment operation, packaging products, process monitoring, quality control, cleaning, and various support activities for the manufacturing department.

This role performs timely completion of production runs while maintaining the highest quality standards. Duties and responsibilities can change regularly based on customer formulation and volume requirements.

What you will do as a Production Technician :

• Ensure quality and consistency in production processes by operating and monitoring production equipment such as conveyors, fillers, labelers and lot coders, carton tapers, cappers, and sealers
• Meet production schedule, procedure, and volume goals in coordination with coworkers
• Ensure efficiency and productivity by monitoring production processes and / or equipment
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with equipment, devices, or products
• Gather and arrange materials ensuring adequate inventory of packaging and ingredients
• Update production schedule and job order documentation, batch records, and progress reports
• Follow established practices in compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices

What you need to be a Production Technician :

• High school diploma or equivalent level of combined education and experience
• 6 months to 1 year of work experience, preferably in the product formulation industry
• Experience working with industrial equipment in a production environment
• Experience in production equipment operation and warehousing techniques
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis using assistive devices for moving materials greater than 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
• Static Strength for lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying
• Trunk Strength using the lower back and stomach
• Multilimbed Coordination using arms and / or legs together while sitting, standing, or lying down
