JOB DESCRIPTION
A manufacturing client is looking for a seasoned VP of Service Operations to lead their Blackwood, NJ headquarters, overseeing a dynamic team of 130+ professionals across field service, customer support, warranty, training, and aftermarket care. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, team development, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience from the manufacturing, material handling or large-scale field service industries, and have a proven track record of managing distributed teams and improving service delivery.
Key
Lead and mentor a team of 8 directors overseeing 80+ field service technicians, service coordinators, key account managers, purchasing, warranty billing, and warehouse staff.Drive operational performance across aftersales functions, including field service, warranty administration, training, refurbishments, purchasing, and billing.Collaborate with executive leadership and sales teams to align service operations with company goals and customer needs.Conduct regular 1 : 1s with directors, facilitate team meetings, and engage in customer-facing activities such as onboarding, troubleshooting, and relationship management.Oversee KPIs, budget planning, and strategic initiatives to maintain and grow revenue around $24M to $30M annuallyPartner with global colleagues in Germany and Canada to share best practices and improve service standards.This is a permanent role that requires being onsite in Blackwood, NJ and 25% travel domestically to client sites and Colorado headquarters.
$130,000 to $200,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
