Reports To : Assembler and Components Supervisor

Location : Courion,St. Louis, MO

Summary of Job Function :

Courion is seeking a Machine Operator, who under the direction of the Assembler and Components

Supervisor will form and label all sheet metal for jobs on the floor.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with :

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of machine tool capabilities
• Ability to set up and operate NC Press & Mechanical Brake with limited training.
• Ability to operate a forklift (certification a plus).
• Excellent Communication and time management skills
• Attention to Detail - pursues quality in the accomplishment of tasks, regardless of the volume of duties encountered.

• Organization- Creates or maintains processes to ensure all relevant information or tools are easily accessible.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include :

• Read and utilize measuring equipment, such as tape measures, micrometers, squares, protractors, etc., and utilize mathematics to verify job requirements, specifications and maintain quality controls.
• Read dimensions and accurately adjust the brake setup as necessary to produce desired results.
• Set up and operate brake press centers to build various items from blueprints.
• Perform basic machine maintenance.
• Read and interpret shop / cad drawings and blueprints to conform to specifications.
• Inspect products and evaluate finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Hazards

• Factory Environment with temperature variations
• Warehouse Environment with heavy forklift traffic

Ability to lift and move parts as needed (
