PrimaryResponsibilities
- Collaborateacross IT functional boundaries (e.g. system administrators SANadministrators network administrators database administrators) toconfigure install maintain troubleshoot upgrade and manage systemsfor optimum performance andreliability.
- Report any serverperformance issues that may impact missionoperations.
- Maintain dailyoperations monitoring problem identification / resolution of databaseservers / systems applications and operating systems ensuring optimumperformance andavailability.
- Install build rebuildconfigure maintain secure document and administer databasessystemrelated products hardware peripherals services settingsdirectories and storage according to standards and operationalrequirements.
- Provide databaseadministration support including installing configuring maintainingsecurity installing patches and performing necessary upgrades tokeep servers / databases updated andsecure.
- Perform database designstructure identification schema definition access privilegemanagement query optimization documentation instance upgradeslongrange planning operational guidelines and databaseprotection.
- Collaborate withapplication owners / developers to ensure databases meet theirperformance and availabilityrequirements.
- Maintain databasedictionaries monitor standards and procedures design file storageand integrate systems through databasedesign.
- Perform remedial actions toensure databases remain online and available to applications andusers.
Requirements
- BSin computer science or IT and 48 years of relevant experience(additional experience may be considered in lieu ofdegree).
- Active DOD TS / SCI levelsecurity clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a CIPoly.
- Experience in installingupgrading and patching MS SQLdatabases.
- Experience in backing upand restoring databaseinstances.
- Knowledge of securing SQLdatabases to the latest DOD security requirements and bestpractices.
- Experience in daily SQLdatabase administration adhering to DODstandards.
- Installed and maintaineddatabase schemas based on the latest applicationrequirements.
- Experience with SQL2012 or higher.
- Experience inWindows Server environments.
- IATLevel II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security CySA GICSP GSECSecurity CE CND SSCP).
- Ability totranslate highly technical matters to nontechnicalaudiences.
- Excellent communicationskills.
PreferredQualifications
- MCSA SQLcertification.
- Prior experience withDISA and DISA s support to missionpartners.
- TS / SCI with CI Polypreferred.

BasicQualifications BS in computer science or IT and 4-8 years ofrelevant experience (additional experience may be considered inlieu of degree).
Active DOD TS / SCI level security clearance, witheligibility to obtain and maintain a CI Poly. Experience ininstalling, upgrading, and patching MS SQL databases.
Experience inbacking up and restoring database instances. Knowledge of securingSQL databases to the latest DOD security requirements and bestpractices.
Experience in daily SQL database administration adheringto DOD standards. Installed and maintained database schemas basedon the latest application requirements.
