Purchasing Assistant
summary Hours : 8a-5p Pay : $18 Summary : Maintains information and records to prepare purchase orders. May at times evaluate materials usage requirements, assist in sourcing materials, prepare purchase orders, monitor material usage, and ensure adequate supplies of materials both direct and in-direct.
Examples of Duties : Prepare and edit purchase orders as required. Consult catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications.
Maintain files and records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries. Perform related clerical duties in compliance with purchasing direction.
May contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and follow up on outstanding purchase orders. Perform work under general supervision within purchasing protocol.
Run Daily Reports to support purchasing team. Support maintenance team with in-direct material purchases. required-skills : Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Proficient mathematical skills.
Proficient oral and written communication skills. Proficient organizational skills. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
Minimum Requirements : Typically requires a high school diploma and 2 to 4 years of experience. Considerable skill in using the following Microsoft Office products : Word, Excel & Access as well as an MPR.
