Position Title : Communications Agent
Location : Kansas City, MO
Reports To : Communications Manager
Position Overview : The Communications Agent is responsible for developing and delivering internal and external communication strategies to support the organization's goals.
This role involves crafting clear, engaging content, managing communication channels, and ensuring the consistency of the brand's voice across various platforms.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator with experience in public relations, media management, and digital communication.
Key Responsibilities :
- Media Relations : Assist in building relationships with media contacts, prepare press kits, and manage press inquiries.
- Brand Messaging : Ensure all communications reflect the company's tone, style, and key messaging consistently.
- Event Support : Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting company events, webinars, or media conferences.
- Internal Communications : Support internal communication initiatives by developing content for employee newsletters, announcements, and intranet updates.
- Stakeholder Management : Work closely with internal teams (HR, marketing, etc.) and external partners to align communication efforts.
- Crisis Communication : Support crisis communication efforts by preparing statements and responding to media inquiries as needed.
- Analytics & Reporting : Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies, generate reports on media coverage, social media performance, and campaign success.
Qualifications :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
