What do we do?

Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel, software-defined radio solutions for applications including surveillance, communications, radar, direction finding, emitter location, and interference cancellation.

Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements for bandwidth, dynamic range, number of channels, and computational resources.

Supported platforms range from resource-constrained small UAVs and wearable devices to manned aircraft and submarines. Azure also offers innovative signal processing solutions to challenging problems in the realm of radio frequency spectrum awareness.

What will you do?

Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Mechanical Floor Technician. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team.

This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, FL, facility. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description :

Responsibilities for this job may include :

  • Assembly and integration of complex component and system level electronic assemblies
  • Cable routing, hardware installation and the completion of associated documentation
  • Drawing interpretation and wire diagram comprehension
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, take initiative and work well with internal and external customers
  • Light machining, stuck screw removal, help with training other technicians on the electro-mechanical assemblies

Basic Requirements

  • US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
  • Minimum 1-year hands-on manufacturing experience in an assembly or integration environment
  • Ability to lift and carry 25-45 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of electronics enclosures / assemblies or aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience with hand soldering
  • Experience in an ESD and FOD controlled environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Detail oriented and able to independently execute tasks
  • Machining Experience
  • Basic understanding of cad software, ability to model simple parts and assemblies (Solidworks, Creo, Autocad)
