We are currently seeking a Full-time Machine Operator with experience in the steel industry to join our team at our Erie, PA location.

MACHINE OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES : (Included, but not limited to)
- Set up and remove work pieces from a machine per procedure
- Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
- Ability to perform in-process inspections at a machine and adjust various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
- Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
- Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
- Ability to recognize tooling types facemill, drill, taps, etc.
Requirements :
- Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds / feeds
- Prior machining experience
- Knowledge in general machining practices
- Crane and forklift experience
- Ability to read and understand documents and blueprints
- Ability to use hand tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, tape measure, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to insert tooling, materials, and use lifting devices
