Description
As a Civil 3D Designer and GIS Analyst, you will perform a variety of CAD / Civil 3D technical drawing and GIS mapping tasks, support a variety of mapping focused projects such as pipeline alignment sheets, preliminary pipeline routing maps, civil grading design drawings, and GIS based maps.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Using working knowledge of survey and land ownership to create preliminary pipeline routing maps
- Designing, maintaining, and presenting GIS databases and data exports
- Obtaining spatial data from various sources such as the client or a third-party
- Using GIS tools to effectively analyze spatial data
- Exporting mapbooks and data to various formats and deliverables for both internal and external project needs
- Working with engineers to develop the map / drawing objective and appearance to ensure clarity and quality
- Communcating technical information and results in a clear and concise manner that is usable by other project team members and supervisors

Essential skills and experience :
- Associate's Degree in Drafting & Design, or a BA / BS in Environmental Engineering / Science, Geography, GIS, Geology, Landscape Architecture, computer science or other relevant field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and use interchangeably with GIS
- 1+ years of relevant GIS experience within the oil and gas industry
- Strong mapping skills and experience with ESRI / ArcPro software
- Experience in using various digital elevation models and / or surveyed point data to create and / or modify Civil 3D surfaces
- Experience in creating and maintaining civil grading drawings
- Experience in creating pipeline alignment sheets

$67,000 - $76,000
