JOB SUMMARY
Under the daily supervision of the Teacher, the Paraprofessional supports the teaching team with all aspects of classroom and child supervision and care.
The position is responsible for child health, development, and safety, and for ensuring program rules, applicable laws, and agency policies and protocols, are followed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Infant / Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) certification from the Council for Professional Recognition, preferred education listed below or the ability to obtain a CDA within two years from hire date.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Demonstrated awareness of the challenges and strengths of children and families living with lower incomes and / or special needs.
Preferred
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.
- At least one year of paid experience working with infants and toddlers.
