This is a field position covering the Dallas area out to East Texas (relocation not available).
Rigel Territory Business Managers will appropriately promote Tavalisse (fostamatinib) in chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia (cITP) and launch REZLIDHIATM (Olutasidenib) in relapsed or refractory mIDH1 Acute Myeloid Leukemia (R / R mIDH1 AML) to maximize new patient starts in their assigned territory through focused execution, cross-functional collaboration and commitment to positively impacting the lives of patients.
The Rigel Territory Business Manager is required to be an expert on the patient’s clinical profile, the business of hematology / oncology as well as access & reimbursement.
They will also serve as the quarterback for the broader Rigel field team, collaborating with their colleagues to build and execute strategic plans that will positively impact our customers and assist us in achieving our goals.
The Territory Business Manager should have strong communication skills, excellent account management experience in both academic institutions and community practices, and strong, established relationships with target hem / onc physicians in the assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Accountable for meeting / exceeding territory sales goals by influencing Key Thought Leaders and prescribers in assigned territory
- Responsible for building and maintaining productive relationships with all members of the patient care team in assigned accounts
- Responsible for quarterbacking Rigel resources to respond to and resolve customers’ needs.
- Comprehensive strategic business planning and execution through key accounts and customers to ultimately serve the needs of patients.
- Consistent customer & patient focus is imperative for this role.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- A passion for proactive, continuous learning on disease state, treatment of cITP; and the oral oncolytic access & reimbursement environment impacting our customers
- Business Planning mindset is innovative.
- Listening; with an approach of first seeks to understand with all members of the patient care team to identify and understand their needs and appropriately respond
- An unwavering commitment to teamwork; sharing what is learned from customer dialogues with Rigel cross-functional teammates
- Utilize resources, adhering to budget needs and delivering strong results in a collaborative and compliant manner with integrity and passion
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
- BA / BS or equivalent with 5 years of rare disease, specialty pharmacy, oncology / hematology sales experience; or equivalent combination of advanced degree and experience.
- Excellent account management skills and established relationships with target physicians in assigned territory
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional results in Hem / Onc
- Proven entrepreneurial skills with the ability to thrive as a territory owner
- Exceptional collaboration & communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License is required

- PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk; sit; talk and hear.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT : The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Frequent travel may be required.
