Departmental Objective The Center for Student Success helps students identify obstacles or challenges to student success, develop strategies to overcome them, and provide support systems and resources.
Purpose of the Position The purpose of the position is to effectively implement high quality student success program under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Support Services to enrich the student success, retention and persistence of student-athletes, with emphasis on the overall collegiate transition of first and second year students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position Skills in training and instructing students
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Ability to communicate and work with athletics department coaches and staff
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Excellent computer skills to include, calendars and other modules
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent skills with Google Mail and Drives Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience : Previous experience providing guidance or mentorship to students. Additional Consideration(s) Education : Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related fields.
Experience : Experience in academic affairs’, or student affairs in a college or university setting. Experience as a student-athlete, coach, and / or educator at a NCAA Division I, II, or III institution, or K-12 school.

00 an hour, Commensurate with Education and Experience CNU Information Conditions of Employment This is an HOURLY position and does NOT entitle the incumbent to Commonwealth of Virginia benefits and is limited to 1500 hours in a 365-day period;
