ROLE SUMMARY
The Customer Engagement Content Lead will lead a team that oversees content for the Commercial organization, including content related to Pfizer products, relevant disease and competitive clinical knowledge, as well general sales skills, leaderships skills and coaching development content.
The role leads the overall strategic approach for content development and leverages cross-functional partnership to ensure a best-in-class curriculum, continuous development and optimal outcomes for customer facing roles, leader lines and other supporting functional teams.
The role works across a multi-stakeholder group, partnering with other members of Customer Engagement Training leadership team, and manages a team of professionals to design and deliver the content and training that supports the commercial organization's strategy, values, and goals, providing teams with the necessary tools, skills, knowledge and information required to achieve brand, customer and experience-based goals.
The role ensures leaders are offered needed curriculum and training to master leadership skills and coaching to engage and lead the team, and improving best in class customer facing strategy, capability and outcomes across the organization.
The role also ensures all commercial roles are equipped with knowledge and tools on Pfizer products, relevant disease and competitive clinical knowledge.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop direct reports for optimal skills needed to develop and evolve best-in-class training content and tools.
- Ensure all training curriculum and content has been developed in compliance with Pfizer legal requirements.
- Partner effectively with all internal partners (BU Leadership, US Market Access, KAM Leadership, Cross BU Working Group, Marketing, Medical, Sales, Regulatory Legal, Compliance, Global Skills Development, etc.
to evaluate and prioritize content development needs to support trainings for general and BU-specific Commercial teams.
- Oversees the development of complex leadership development and sales leadership programs to meet individual and organizational development needs within specified timescales and resources, ensuring that training contents support high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Work with other members of Customer Engagement Training leadership to identify trainings gaps and emerging needs that require content development and lead the team to develop tools and content to fulfill demand.
- Oversee the development, and continual updates of training tools and contents for commercial organization in alignment with business strategies and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews with Key Business Stakeholders to ensure the content and curriculum meets requirements for engaging with business customers and accounts.
- Engage with Commercial senior management to clarify organizational requirements, to set priorities for training and leadership development interventions, and to define required learning outcomes;
specify and manage the collection and analysis of data to inform learning needs analysis.
- Work in close cooperation with commercial and salesforce effectiveness, market research, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities that would enable sales leadership development and salesforce effectiveness.
- Oversee the development and implementation of leadership and sales leader development strategy, anticipating mega-trends and complex challenges and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
- Lead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives throughout the organization, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high quality advice and guidance to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
- Lead the team to build tools and / or tools training to support sales team and sales leaders to create an environment in which team members feel a strong sense of ownership and accountability toward creating the best possible customer experience, and guide and train sales teams to articulate the customer needs in the customer's business language and business context, and orient the seller's organization around delivering to the key needs of their customers.
- This role will manage an organization of 25+ colleagues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 20+ years of training, leadership development, leader of leader's, coaching, sales, marketing related experiences or combination of experiences
- Deep experience and knowledge of instructional design and curriculum design
- Understanding of the bio pharma industry and the ability to translate business needs into training strategy
- Deep knowledge of Pfizer products, relevant diseases, and competitive clinical knowledge
- Previous experience leading people and matrixed organizations within commercial (i.e. sales, account management, marketing etc.
including developing people to meet goals, providing constructive feedback, and employee motivation.
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Experience working in complex legal environments and with legal partnership for content reviews and policy / audit oversight
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of building partnership, interacting with stakeholders at varying levels, and working collaboratively across functions to meet share objectives
- Outstanding presentation, facilitation and writing skills
- Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
- Strong record of coaching teams to achieve personal and organizational goals
- Project Management experience and organizational abilities to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects
- Demonstrated creativity skills, with a track record of creating innovative ideas, develop new and better ways of working
- Ability to make sense of complex information to make sound judgment and decision making with minimal direction
- A track record of holding self and others accountable to meet commitments
- Experience leading a diverse team to achieve common goals, leveraging diverse perspectives.
- Ability to understand the business environment and objectives and develop solutions accordingly

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $239,300.00 to $398,900.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.

The United States salary range provided does not apply to Tampa, FL or any location outside of the United States.* The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $215,400.00 to $359,000.00.
