To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to :

• Initiate weld validation / verification activities for new / current work.
• Coordinate tool tryouts at supplier and in-house capability runs.
• Participate in cross-functional and program management team activities.
• Ensure utilization of continuous improvement of current processes.
• Co-responsibility for working with Quality and Tooling Engineers on FMEA’s and control plans.
• Review quotations including layout concepts, processing and costs.
• Review new tooling purchase requests, budget summaries and supplier quotes for submission and approval.
• Maintenance and floor support on all welding and related equipment.
• Support with maintaining dimensional quality on welded assemblies
• Identify and communicate all issues and concerns with equipment and processes to upper management and others in Production and Operations.
• Program Robots, Pedestal welders, and all other types of welding related equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical / mechanical concerns on equipment and support other skilled trades as required.

This full-time salary role is a part of our Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Technical Services Manager.

Required experience :

• 1+ year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• AutoCAD experience
• Knowledge of MIG Welding / Drawn arc welding / Resistance Spot / Projection Welding
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner. Able to apply common sense understanding and use appropriate judgment in routine business situations with supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
