Controller (Manufacturing Experience NEEDED)

Job Summary :

TGG Manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong financial expertise and hands-on experience with financial systems, driving process improvements and supporting strategic decision-making in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Financial Management :
• Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Financial System Administration :
• Administer and optimize our financial systems to support robust financial operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
• Financial Reporting :
• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Generate and analyze financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Provide insights and actionable recommendations to senior management based on financial data.
• Budgeting and Forecasting :
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare regular financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures.
• Partner with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets effectively.
• Audit and Compliance :
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
• Process Improvement :
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and workflows.
• Leverage financial systems capabilities to automate and enhance financial operations.
• Stay informed on best practices and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership :
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities.
• Promote a collaborative and productive work environment within the finance team.
Qualifications :
• Education :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience :
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with financial systems administration and optimization.
• Skills :
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
