Job Summary :
TGG Manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong financial expertise and hands-on experience with financial systems, driving process improvements and supporting strategic decision-making in our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Management :
- Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Financial System Administration :
- Administer and optimize our financial systems to support robust financial operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve system issues and implement enhancements.
- Financial Reporting :
- Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate and analyze financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Provide insights and actionable recommendations to senior management based on financial data.
- Budgeting and Forecasting :
- Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare regular financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures.
- Partner with department heads to develop and manage departmental budgets effectively.
- Audit and Compliance :
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
- Process Improvement :
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and workflows.
- Leverage financial systems capabilities to automate and enhance financial operations.
- Stay informed on best practices and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Team Leadership :
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify professional development opportunities.
- Promote a collaborative and productive work environment within the finance team. Qualifications :
- Education :
- Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with financial systems administration and optimization.
- Skills :
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
