About the Role :

The Payroll Administrator supports the Payroll Team with payroll processing, benefits, and compliance. You will assist in processing full-cycle weekly, and bi-weekly employee payroll.

The Payroll Administrator will report to the Payroll Supervisor.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Process payroll for all company owned stores, company warehouses and corporate office; weekly, bi-weekly payroll processing in a multi-state environment
  • Preparing instant checks as needed
  • Provide regular reporting to finance, HR and other departments as needed
  • Administer and monitor UTM (Ultimate Software Time Management)
  • Monitor Accrued Vacation, Floating Holidays, and Sick Pay
  • Investigate PTO discrepancies and correct balances as needed
  • Maintain electronic records supporting all payroll tax returns.
  • Maintain accurate records of garnishments; set up any new garnishments
  • Track garnishments paid and resolved discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process all payroll related union items
  • Monitor payroll email inbox and fielding all calls to payroll line
  • Reporting as needed by stores, warehouses, corporate
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About You :

  • AA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll field
  • Excellent customer service
  • Multi-state taxation experience required.
  • Fundamental payroll accounting experience preferred.
  • UKG and UTM experience required.
  • Intermediate Excel skills required.
  • FPC or CPP Certification preferred.
  • Union contract experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment labor laws
  • Adept in managing time and priorities.
