As a Manager, IP Information Research, you will be responsible for searching multiple databases to provide patent, trademark, intellectual property and / or other relevant information to internal or external clients at our Fort Worth, TX location.
In this role, a typical day will include :
- Working with IP Legal and R&D teams to develop an in depth understanding of Alcon’s medical device and vision care development programs.
- Developing effective search strategies to facilitate freedom to operate searches related to Alcon development programs.
- Reviewing search results to identify most relevant references for further attorney review and providing search results to facilitate such review.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON :
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- Familiarity with common patent and literature searching tools (e.g., Orbit Intelligence, Derwent Innovation, PatBase, TotalPatent One, etc.)
- 5 Years of relevant experience
