We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Aviation Maintenance Technician within our Aviation - Maintenance group based in Houston, Texas .
The primary responsibility of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician is to evaluate, perform, and organize aircraft maintenance activities on the company’s Embraer 175 aircraft, to ensure Airworthiness and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
This includes extensive knowledge in the Embraer 170 / 175 troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections required for return to service.
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician must effectively communicate to leadership and team members to ensure all department operational requirements are met.
The ability to keep aircraft and work areas at the highest standards. All duties are to be performed in accordance with regulatory and Occidental policies, practices, and procedures.
- Promote the Occidental safety culture while providing the highest level of customer service.
- Conduct duties in compliance with all pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, Certificate of Airworthiness requirements, Company policies and procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with planning and budgeting projections for company / assigned aircraft.
- Procure quotes for upcoming aircraft maintenance packages and communicate with Maintenance Manager on aircraft availability.
- Interfaces closely with Embraer and outside vendors to ensure aircraft is inspected, repaired, and returned to service in a timely manner.
- Perform aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, and fueling / defueling of the Embraer 175 aircraft in accordance with all regulatory, manufacturer, and Occidental requirements at a high level of proficiency.
- Mentor the Aircraft Maintenance Technicians during complex maintenance activities.
- Perform quality assurance duties as part of the company RII program.
- Collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to maintain proper record entries of all aircraft maintenance actions, to include logbooks, task cards, and return to service requirements.
- Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturers recommendations.
- Provide professional recommendations associated with maintaining the Embraer 175 aircraft.
- Maintain CAMP, the computerized maintenance tracking software program.
- Travel domestically as needed to return aircraft to service during Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
- Source, order, receive, and inspect aircraft components and consumables.
- Perform maintenance launch and recovery actions for all company aircrafts to include baggage handling in accordance with regulatory and Occidental requirements.
- Forecast scheduled maintenance events to ensure inspection items are met in a timely manner.
- Lead projects and ancillary duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Demonstrate discretion with sensitive or confidential company information.
- Participate and promote the flight departments Safety Management System.
- Remain 100% compliant with all regulatory and Occidental training program requirements.
- Complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Work well in a team environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
- Valid automobile driver’s license.
- Valid passport with no restrictions.
- Formal Embraer 170 / 190 maintenance training
- Three years of proven aviation experience maintaining the Embraer 170 / 190 type.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, in addition to CAMP / CMP maintenance tracking programs.
Desired Qualifications :
- Business aviation operational experience.
- FAA Part 125 operational experience.
- Prior project management experience.
- Inspection Authorization (IA).
- Formal Safety Management System (SMS) training.
