Alphanumeric is hiring a QUALITY INSPECTOR to work Third Shift (11 : 00PM - 7 : 30AM) in Orlando, FL with an environmental-friendly energy innovator focused on sustainability.
Set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment determining the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine material or product for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete welds.
- Display competency in eddy current, ultrasonic, radiographic, FPI, visual, and thermographic inspection techniques.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications verifying specified dimensions of parts or material.
- Test product for structural defects such as leaks or internal cracks.
- Make judgment on inspection findings and make technical recommendations.
- Document inspection and report findings to Engineering and assist with technical evaluation of components to include life assessment.
- Provide technical and financial input on recommendations and process changes.
- Train new inspectors to ASNT standards.
- Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts.
- Ensure product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements.
- Perform other such duties that may be required.

- Education and / or Experience : Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least five (5) years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
