Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in graphic or multimedia design, journalism or writing, marketing, studio art and video production, or an equivalent combination of education and / or experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in production or design or a combination of experience in both areas.
- Special skills required include information technology savvy with an emphasis on interactive media, including but limited to Adobe After Effects, photoshop, illustrator, Indesign, and Adobe Premier.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to translate design solutions across a variety of digital channels.
- Well-versed in social media platforms and trends.
- Experience in creating HTML5 Ads using Google Web Designer.
All Qualifications Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and / or experience deemed comparable and / or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position Details Position Purpose The Multimedia Designer and Videographer is the visual storyteller for high-profile multimedia brand initiatives.
This position conceptualizes and executes the technical creation of multimedia content for university recruitment and brand marketing initiatives for paid advertising platforms.
The Multimedia Designer and Videographer also serves as a brand steward for the university, ensuring visual solutions content strengthens brand consistency, builds brand awareness, connects with the university’s target audience, increases traffic and enhances the university’s reputation.
