The University of Bridgeport is seeking candidates for the position of Adjunct Instructor- Nursing . The school of nursing invites applications for adjunct instructors in our undergraduate BSN and ABSN program.
We have several openings for faculty with expertise in adult health, community health, and Psych / Mental health, as well as our on-campus health assessment and skills lab.
These positions are generally appointed on a semester-by-semester basis. This position is located in Bridgeport, CT.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of The School of Nursing, the person is responsible for :
- Teaching 1-2 clinical sections for undergraduate pre-licensure nursing students each semester
- Working with course leader to supervise pre-licensure nursing students in their clinical setting Evaluate students written work Evaluate students clinical performance
- Participate in on campus lab or simulation activities with their clinical group of students
- Act as liaison to clinical agencies
- Teaching schedule may include days, evenings and / or weekends
Required Qualifications :
- Registered Nurse with current state of CT RN license (or eligible for)
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Current Clinical experience in related area
- Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications :
Teaching experience with recent clinical teaching experience in an academic setting
