Experienced Accounts Receivable
Job Description :
CBD American Shaman is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with a background in fulfillment and manufacturing Accounts Payable to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong analytical skills to manage accounts receivable processes efficiently while leveraging their knowledge of fulfillment and manufacturing accounts payable.
Responsibilities :
1. Accounts Receivable Management :
- Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions.
2. Customer Relationship Management :
- Communicate with customers to address inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms if necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor.
3. Cash Application :
- Process incoming payments and accurately apply them to customer accounts.
- Reconcile cash receipts and deposits regularly.
4. Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and implement collection strategies.
- Generate monthly financial reports related to accounts receivable performance.
5. Process Improvement :
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline accounts receivable procedures and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and best practices.
6. Fulfillment and Manufacturing Accounts Payable Support :
- Leverage knowledge of fulfillment and manufacturing accounts payable processes to provide support and collaboration with relevant teams.
- Assist in resolving any cross-functional issues related to accounts receivable and payable processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in accounts receivable management.
- Strong understanding of fulfillment and manufacturing accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant legal regulations and compliance standards.
- Certification such as Certified Accounts Receivable Manager (CAR), Certified Credit and Collection Professional (CCCP), or similar is preferred.
