Security Professional - Retail Access Patrol

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Your presence will help create a welcoming environment for guests and staff, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication supports a positive experience for everyone. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 09 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Saturday 11 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 PM

Sunday 11 : 00 AM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or exit from the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to observe for unusual activity and / or potential security-related concerns.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, maintaining communication with Allied Universal management and site contacts.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by being a visible presence and addressing security-related matters as directed by site leadership.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
