The Clinical Manager represents the agency by facilitating its mission and agency objectives.Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilizes current nursing concepts and principles as well as understanding of coverage criteria to direct, supervise and ensure the quality of care provided by the Coordinators of Care (COC) and other Clinical staffAssures the periodic reassessment of and appropriate revisions to the plan of care and ensures full recert packages are submitted timelyEvaluates the skills and services provided by the clinical staff through record review, field visits and case conferencingMaintains effective communication with staff and patientsServes as patient advocate in communications with third-party payers.
Identifies staffing and service needsPerforms duties necessary in the Emergency Disaster PlanAssures that all care and staff interactions uphold the non- discrimination policy and are sensitive to the American with Disabilities ActProvides Direction to COCs regarding difficult patient issuesAssesses the educational needs of the COCs relative to the patient’s care and ensures their needs are metParticipates in the agency’s orientation, education, and performance improvement activitiesParticipates in hiring, training and disciplining clinical staffParticipates in an on-call coverage rotationCoordinates and ensures accuracy of conversion packetsPerforms other related duties as neededJob Qualifications RequiredGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to asses data reflecting the client’s status and interpret their appropriate needs.
