Human Resources Specialist Major Hospital System (Orlando, Florida)

Scope 4-month w2 contract with potential to extend includes options for medical, dental, and vision benefits and holiday pay.

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Onsite in Orlando, Florida Monday through Friday 8 : 30 am to 5 pm EST.

Hourly Rate : $23

The Human Resources Specialist functions as the primary point of contact for Human Resources transactions, with a high level of service excellence, responding to internal and external customers and departments by assisting in resolving matters that require a broad base of HR knowledge.

Responsible for timely and accurate processing of transactions in assigned areas.

Essential Functions

• Provides excellent, positive, customer service with all levels of the organization.
• Responds to inquiries by providing accurate information based upon knowledge of the appropriate policy language and intent
• Processes transactions related to core human resources data related to personal information, employment, job information, and performance management with a defined timeframe.
• Responds to issues and concerns promptly.
• Always maintains a caring and professional attitude.
• Provides ongoing customer education in the process of answering concerns.
• Assists customers in completing the client’s and Human Resource-related forms and applications.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality when researching and resolving customer concerns.
• Maintains accurate information in the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Able to query, audit, and compile reports from the database as needed.
• Utilizes the document management system to scan, link, and access team member files.
• Escalates customer concerns when necessary to the Supervisor and / or Director.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the client’s policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all of the client’s policies and procedures.

• Knowledgeable of Human Resources guidelines, processes, and policies.
• Attends meetings / in-services and presents information in the department and other meetings as requested.
• Assumes responsibility for ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving solving and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities and situations, and follow through on the completion of assignments by deadlines.
• Assists other HR functions and the departments that she / he supports on an as-needed basis.
• Responsible for organizing, managing, and completing special projects as assigned.

Education / Training

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Two (2) years experience in customer service, human resources administration or operations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required, including intermediate to advanced Excel and Outlook skills.
