We are hiring Retired Teachers as Part-Time tutors at our Lake Zurich / Barrington, IL and Schaumburg, IL locations!.  We provide in-person tutoring for students K-12 :

• Reading / English teacher
• Math teacher
• Early Elementary Reading Teacher
• Beginning Reading
• Writing / English teacher
• Study Skills teacher
• TestPrep (ACT / SAT) Teacher
• Teachers do not need expertise in all of the above areas.  We schedule you to your areas of interest.

Skills and Qualities necessary :

Sylvan Learning Centers are the industry leaders in providing supplemental education to children in pre-K through 12th grade. We provide individualized instruction in Comprehension, Reading, English, Writing, Math and Study Skills. We also offer ACT / SAT Test Prep and STEM.

We teach 7 days per week and require our teachers to work at least one of Saturday / Sunday, and at least one day during the week. We have extended teaching opportunities in the summer when we add morning hours.
