Job Description
A Lead Electrical Engineer is capable of leading / driving design decisions, oversee project staff, and is capable of being the main point of contact for a project.
Key Results Area #1 :
- Fully understand follow EP drafting standards.
- Responsible for consistent sheet and background set-up.
- Establish a high level of efficiency for all drafting tasks.
- Complete construction documents with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
- Set a standard for effective communication with staff and with other design professionals.
Key Results Area #2 :
- Assist owner in making informed lighting and systems decisions at start of projects.
- Responsible for full lighting design and documentation on projects.
- Develop accurate, code-compliant, coordinated, and efficient designs.
- Offer responsive construction administration services.
- Expertise in full power and systems design and documentation on projects.
- Perform facility assessments.
Key Results Area #3 :
- Mentor younger staff to help them develop on projects.
- Perform quality assurance checks.
Requirements
Minimum :
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET accredited program.
- 4+ Years relevant electrical design experience as a student, intern or closely related through commercial work experience, academic research and / or academic coursework.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred :
Active Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota.
