Harney District Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medical Services Manager to supervise, mentor and support our Emergency Medical Services Department.
This position will supervise and mentor all of our EMS Staff, and represent Harney District Hospital as part of the county-wide emergency medical services system.
This is a full-time position that starts at $32.32 per hour and is eligible for our full-time benefit package, which includes medical, dental, vision, generous paid time off and choice of retirement plan.
Established in Burns, Oregon in 1920, we are the only critical access hospital that serves residents living in rural communities spread across the 10,000 square miles of beautiful Harney County.
We also run a family care clinic and a specialty care clinic. Despite our small size and remote location, we offer modern facilities, state-of-the-art technology, and a comprehensive range of services.

Required Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of emergency medical delivery methods and operation of specialized emergency medical equipment. Knowledge of safe driving techniques, especially with specialized emergency medical vehicles.
Knowledge of computer applications software and general office procedures. Ability to provide effective rescue team leadership at emergency scenes.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a high school education supplemented with additional specialized emergency medical training and over five (5) years emergency medical experience at the Paramedic level, or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
Possession of current Paramedic (EMT - P) certificate issued by the State of Oregon and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certificate or ability to acquire by the time of appointment.
Possession of Basic Trauma Life Support or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support certificate or equivalent within six (6) months of appointment.
Possession of valid driver's license and acceptable driving record and valid CPR-HCP card. In order to meet the requirements mandated by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988, Sec.
493.1423, documentation including diploma copy or official transcript of highest academic achievement must be provided at time of hire.
Pay Range : $32.32-$43.44 per hour
