Job Summary : Participate in cross-functional project teams to implement creative solutions. Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and correct equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues.
Interfaces with Quality and R&D to integrate new products or processes. Responsible for identifying and correcting manufacturing process nonconformance’s identified during prototype builds.
Job Responsibilities :

S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
- Develops new and unique approaches to complex problems and advance technology beyond previous company involvement.
- Plans / develops engineering projects concerned with unique or high-profile problems which have important effect on major organization programs.
- Provides management with technical guidance as required.
- Identifies and procures the appropriate process equipment.
- Investigates, develops and implements new process technologies of major scope.
- Documentation including but not limited to procedures, training, protocols, data analysis, planning, reports, etc.
- Leads project / program meetings, etc.
- Maintains liaison with individuals and business units within or outside his / her organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to his / her field.
- Subject matter expert in engineering specialty / application.
- Will work within a mix of office, lab, production floor environment
- Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Education : Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Minimum Experience : 7+ years of experience
Specialized Skills and Knowledge :
- Solid modeling (specifically Solidworks, Pro-E, Pro-Engineer, Inventor)
- Minitab (or other statistical analysis software package), MS PowerPoint / Visio, MS Access, MS Project
- Any specific experience in Coating, PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), Metallization, Sputter would be a plus
- Design of Experiments (DOE)
- New equipment specification, qualification, transfer, procedure development
- Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black Belt, would be a plus, but are not required
