You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload, and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity.

Compensation :
$90,000 - $100,000+ Base Salary Annually DOE + Bonus
Responsibilities :
- Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws
- Counsel associates to resolve or prevent conflicts
- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings
- Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
- Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
- Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the client's behalf when appropriate
- Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Interview clients, supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to collect information
Qualifications :
- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
- Applicants must have trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
- Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
- 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field
- A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
- Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued
- Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law / tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative
- A minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is necessary
- State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory
