Nova Biomedical is hiring a Machinist A in our Waltham, MA facility on the Second Shift (Monday - Friday ( 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM - This includes a 10% Shift Differential) The Machinist A is responsible for the operation and set up of all manual and automated equipment in the machine shop.
Other Essential Responsibilities include :
- Ability to set up all shop equipment including the Manual Milling, Lathe and Handscrew machines; the set-up, maintenance, and operation of CNC Millers and Lathes (including tool offsets and editing of CNC programs
- Responsibility for part quality and performing dimensional inspections while meeting set time standards
Qualifications :
- Read and write English and follow written / verbal instructions
- Perform basic math
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Proficient with all shop measuring tools, and is able to read and understand part drawing
Education / Experience :
- High School or Technical School graduate
- 10-15 years Machine Shop experience
