Job Overview :
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the Project Engineering team at the CMC Center of Excellence in Carlsbad, CA.
The Senior Manager, Project Engineering will lead a team of Project Engineers and together the group will manage all site projects including capital projects, infrastructure projects, and engineering projects to advance process capabilities and deliver components for test and eventually for building into flight engines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Development of project plans, schedules resource requirements and budgets for projects for the site. Identify and manage risks and opportunities for projects.
- Creates and maintains the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the COE and aligns this with the overall program IMS.
- Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance.
- Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
- Establish and document local procedures for Project Management.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)
- 12+ years of Engineering experience, or 10+ years with an advanced degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Strong technical, communication, teamwork, and strategic leadership skills.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, schedule, and risk requirements.
- Excellent business judgment and professional maturity.
- Ability to convey effective direction using strong written and verbal skills.
- Experience leading matrixed and cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and aerospace quality practices like ISO9001 AS9100.
Salary Range : 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD
