Job Description and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of GTM and Business Operations, this role will drive operations, reporting, and analysis for the Global Product & Value Added Services organization as part of the Global Product Delivery team.

We are seeking a Business Operations Senior Director who can drive operational performance in a complex, matrixed environment, knows how to work effectively with a diverse group of senior leaders and can lead and inspire a team of up to 7.

Key responsibilities include driving planning, delivering operational excellence through iterative improvements, and advancing our performance analytics capabilities and practices.

Locations : San Francisco or Austin and is responsible for managing a team of professionals who are located mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Play a leadership role in transforming how Product operates and drives value for Visa
  • Support a common business operations framework for an expanded Global Product organization
  • Drive the development on an Operating Plan, leveraging best practices from across the organization
  • Develop and deliver necessary reporting and analysis to support the Operating Plan and Committee
  • Operationalize planning and prioritization practices as we re-imagine how Product and Technology work together
  • Define, document and manage processes that align to an evolving operating model and based on pragmatic, agile, and scalable practices and tools.

Iterate and drive for operational excellence.

  • Evolve our reporting capabilities to provide business-level, data-based insights and highlight opportunities
  • Drive the delivery of reporting and analysis including executive reporting, goal cards, product pipeline performance, and investor relations reports.

Bridge Global and regional BPO teams in the on-going reporting process.

Build, develop, and retain high-performing team members

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

12 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters / MBA / JD / MD);

or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

15+ years of experience with a Bachelors Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD);

PhD with 9+ years of experience

15+ years of experience with a background in business / sales operations, coupled with management consulting, strategy, and / or finance experience.

5+ years of payments industry experience.

Excellent problem-solving skills, highly organized, and adept at multi-tasking and adapting to evolving priorities.

Demonstrated success in executing strategies and improving operational practices. Makes sound, thoughtful business and organizational decisions, with short and long-term strategic goals in mind.

Strong strategic and analytical skills, capable of turning data into insights to help propel the business forward.

Flexible, intellectually curious, creative thinker with the ability to assess impacts and consequences while managing uncertainty.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence decisions of leaders and business partners / stakeholders. Must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels and organizations.

Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often evolving environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior and executive management.

Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.

Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence. Able to work effectively across a global, matrixed organization.

Effective leadership and people management skills, with a focus on developing diverse, high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture that is collaborative and inquisitive

Transformation and business agility experience a plus.

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Physical Requirements

This position, in future, may be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
