Job Summary :
The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Work involves a variety of the following duties : replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment;
repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. Excluded are :
Craft workers included in a formal apprenticeship or progression program based on training and experience.
Skilled craft workers required to demonstrate proficiency in one or more trades.
Workers performing simple maintenance duties not requiring practical skill and knowledge of a trade (., changing light bulbs and replacing faucet washers).
Responsibilities
JOB Responsibilities :
Is familiar with GMV 1.1’s, M1113s, M1151s, M1165s M1152s, MRAPs (RG31, RG33 and MATV), ATVs, MRZR-A, MRZR-D, and other power driven equipment that may require Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Technical Manuals assigned to the designated SF Group.
Serves as the customer SME on all maintenance related issues.
Performs repairs and services at the Organizational and intermediate levels of maintenance for all FOSOV Program of Record (POR) equipment.
Performs all scheduled and routine unscheduled vehicle maintenance at the unit site and off site if deployed to another CONUS location.
Performs engine, transmission and electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic on assigned equipment to determine required repairs IAW applicable technical manuals.
Must be capable of replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings or other engine parts that have become unserviceable on all types of FOSOV Program of Record (POR) vehicles.
Prepares Daily PERSTAT reports.
Prepares M-W-F Non-Mission Capable reports with accurate status.
Prepares Bi-Weekly Team FOSOV Report capturing daily work schedule tasks by Bumper #, Vin, Fault, and work performed.
Works with customer and submits SSAVIE parts request and tracks status.
Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) level of expertise on the GMV 1.1 M1288 platform with a minimum of one (1) year of direct support.
Must will have completed the 80 hour GMV 1.1 Maintenance class (with the approved POI)
GMV 1.1 SME will manage and execute vehicle maintenance on the GMV 1.1s.
GMV 1.1 SME’s are authorized to work on all PM FOSOV platforms, but the GMV 1.1 is their primary responsibility.
GMV 1.1 SME’s primary responsibility is the GMV 1.1 M1288, however, they will be required to provide maintenance support on all FOSOV POR vehicles listed here.
M1288 GMV 1.1, M1025, M1113s, M1165 series, M1152s, MATVs / MRAPs, LTATVs)
Perform repairs and services at the Organizational and Direct Support levels required to meet 10 / 20 Standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification :
Must be able of securing and maintain a secret clearance
Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) level of expertise on the GMV 1.1 M1288 platform with a minimum of one (1) year of direct support.
The applicant seeking the mechanic position must also have worked on the family military vehicles and have at least 5 years of hard maintenance experience.
Must be a . citizen with an active security clearance SECRET level or higher.
