Customer Service and Workshop Assistant

Job Description :

As our business continues to grow, we now require an additional Customer Service and Workshop Assistant within our Service department assisting with both customer related duties at our trade counter and over the phone plus hands on tasks as you will be servicing and repairing our customer equipment.

This is a varied role that would suit candidates who have some customer service experience but who would like a job that is hands on in a workshop environment.

We can provide full training if you are keen to learn and develop with our business.

The key responsibilities of the role are below : -

Assessment, repair, and quotation of equipment for service jobs.

Calibration of various types equipment used in a range of industry sectors for measuring and testing.

Providing completed service jobs / equipment to the stores team to dispatch.

You will also provide assistance over the phone and in person at the counter for the following areas :

Assisting to remedy Faults with equipment

Explanation of quotations to customers

Pricing of repairs / calibration

In Depth use of equipment to resolve problem

Provide status updates on job / repairs to order processing team

As a member of the Service department you will ensure the department provides the best service to our customers by the following : -

Good output of quotation and calibration work

Keeping a high accuracy of work

Having good attention to detail

Helping your colleagues when required

Ensuring the customer receives the best service possible.

To be successful, you should be PC literate with Outlook for emails and the main Microsoft Packages, be happy speaking to our customers over the phone and in person at our trade counter.

The role would suit someone with some hands on experience gained from studies or work in an assembly, production, repair or similar type of environment, coupled with some customer service experience gained from any sector such as retail, leisure, hospitality or similar.
