The Director of Finance will be responsible for the development of the company’s financial management strategies and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals.
This role is responsible for the financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting. Leading the estimating team is also a responsibility under this position.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Advise the president and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
- Prepare timely and accurate Company’s financial analyses, summaries, and reports, including all needed data for Group.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of any financial reporting and data, which may be needed by the Company.
- Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the president informed of all critical issues.
- Routinely review financial cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance proactively.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual, quarterly and monthly budget process.
- Lead estimating team with all activities concerning the quote process
- Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments.
- Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities;
and monitor and evaluate results.
- Manage the company’s compliance with local and federal regulatory matters.
- Member of the Company’s senior leadership team. Actively contribute to all the activities developed within the senior leadership team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree with ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA preferred
Licenses or Certifications Required
Certified Public Accountant certification preferred
