About the Tissue Recovery Technician I :

The Tissue Recovery Technician is responsible for assisting and conducting DNAs mission to maximize donation. They shall be available to assist with donor activity.

The TRT shall perform tissue recovery procedures according to protocol and policy, as well as maintain a clean, safe operating room environment.

All responsibilities should be performed within the scope of the Food and Drug Administration guidelines, Eye Bank Association of American Medical Standards, American Association of Tissue Bank guidelines, and Donor Network of Arizona’s departmental standard operating procedures.

The TRT will also perform other duties as requested by the leadership team. In addition to the job expectations everyone will work to maintain an environment that supports professionalism, teamwork, effective communication and displays DNA’s core values daily.

Within the Tissue Recovery Department there are a variety of responsibilities. The following responsibilities show the four potential skill sets that are attainable in the Tissue Recovery Technician role.

1. Circulator / Back Table

2. Procurement Technician

3. Ocular Recovery Cornea / Whole Eye

4. Medical Record Review

Shifts available : 11am-7pm OR 2p-10pm / 5 days a week to include some weekends and holidays. (Must be flexible)

Some out of town travel associated

Requirements : Diploma

Diploma

Minimum Experience 0- 6 months. (1 - 2 Years experience preferred)

Surgical technology background preferred.

Knowledge of biological sciences preferred.

Excellent human relations and oral / written communication skills.

Physically demanding position with the ability to lift 50-75lbs.
